OUR TEAM

Dr. Sonia Martin, Founder/CEO

It is an honor and a privilege to lead in a position that honors the legacy of our grandparents, Isaiah and Bobbie McLaughlin. They knew the full scope of challenges associated with mental health issues and the impact they can have on the individual experiencing it, their families, and communities. Our grandparents were the champions and the lifeline of our entire family. Unfortunately, they had to devote exhaustive time and energy to caring for the mental well-being of their son, our beloved uncle, who suffered from mental illness. Family members rallied around him to offer support. However, it was not sustainable in minimizing the torment he endured.

BobbiMac was conceptualized in response to a desperate need to provide therapeutic support to youth ages 13 to 18. In my line of work as a mother, former educator, and executive growth coach, I have witnessed firsthand the collapse of mental health options and limited access to high-quality resources for this age group. Therefore, BobbiMac Seed Foundation Inc. is committed to helping eliminate roadblocks to high-quality mental healthcare for the uninsured and underserved young adults. With your contribution, we can provide solutions, increase the number of mental health practitioners in the field, and educate to bring awareness to remove the stigma.
